A Tlalnepantla control judge on Saturday ordered prisión preventiva for Diego Sebastián N and Gerardo N in the Sept. 1 Atizapán killing of Camilo Séptimo keyboardist Jonathan Meléndez, his pregnant partner Ana Paula Barragán, their three-year-old daughter Sofía, and household worker Aleyda Romero; a six-year-old hid and lived. In Meridian, Miss., Tracey Ann Davis was charged with capital murder and carjacking in the death of former councilwoman and L.O.V.E.’s Kitchen director Fannie Johnson, with Meridian police stressing she acted alone ahead of a Monday briefing. Staffordshire named Jamie Evans, 20, as the Orme Road stabbing victim and held a third man on conspiracy while two murder suspects stayed in custody. Victoria’s Homicide Squad charged a 28-year-old Merrigum man with murder after Papua New Guinean Samuel, 30, died in a 3:10 a.m. Saturday fight at Merrigum Caravan Park. Pune Rural Police arrested Ritesh Hange as a third conspirator in the June Lohagad Fort killing of realtor Ketan Agarwal. Northamptonshire held three men for murder after a High Street body in Burton Latimer; West Mercia charged Pawel Jezierski with the Wylds Lane killing of Damian Buczek; Albuquerque booked Aidan Gregg-Kriegel on open murder in a 72-year-old’s stairwell stabbing; a Townsville jury convicted grazier Darryl Young of the 2022 Bogie triple murder; and Saskatchewan Marshals grabbed Labrador murder fugitive David Faucher in Prince Albert.
Atizapán Family Massacre Suspects Held
A control judge in Tlalnepantla on Saturday ordered prisión preventiva for Diego Sebastián N, an Argentine businessman, and Gerardo N after a roughly nine-hour initial hearing in the Sept. 1 massacre at Grand Viure in Atizapán de Zaragoza, Estado de México. Prosecutors from the FGJEM say the pair killed Jonathan “Honas” Meléndez, 38, keyboardist and co-founder of Camilo Séptimo; his partner Ana Paula Barragán, 35, who was four months pregnant; their daughter Sofía, 3; and Aleyda Romero, 21, who worked for the household. The couple’s six-year-old son hid and survived. The family dog was found dead and tied.
Arrests came Sept. 2. Charges include qualified homicide of two or more people, interruption of pregnancy, and animal cruelty. The Fiscalía told the court about 60 pieces of evidence and a robbery theory — crypto assets and a refused loan among the threads Reforma and El País flagged. Defense counsel asked for release over alleged due-process flaws; the judge kept both at Penal de Barrientos and set a continuation for Wednesday, Sept. 9. They are presumed innocent.

Meridian Councilwoman Killing: Capital Murder Charge
Meridian Police and the city confirmed Tracey Ann Davis is charged with capital murder, carjacking, felony fleeing, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, and aggravated assault in the death of Fannie Johnson — a U.S. Army veteran, former Meridian City Council member, 2017 Citizen of the Year, and longtime executive director of L.O.V.E.’s Kitchen, which has fed residents for more than 40 years. A suspect was taken into custody as ATF, state, and local teams worked the scene Thursday; formal charges and Davis’s name landed Friday.
Assistant Police Chief Darrell Thompson said multiple independent witnesses and information from the suspect point to Davis acting alone. He also walked back circulating claims that the suspect fired at officers — investigators say that did not happen. Mayor Percy Bland called Johnson “the absolute heart of Meridian.” A media briefing is set for Monday, Sept. 7, at 4:30 p.m. at Meridian P.D., 510 22nd Avenue. Cause and exact location details remain limited in public releases. Davis is presumed innocent.

Newcastle Stabbing: Evans Named, Third Held
Staffordshire Police named Jamie Evans, 20, of Stone, as the man found with a single stab wound after a crash involving a red Ford Fiesta and a grey Audi on Orme Road in Newcastle-under-Lyme just after 5 p.m. Friday. Passers-by helped until paramedics arrived; he died in hospital. Officers say he was stabbed before the crash.
Two local men, 20 and 22, remain in custody on suspicion of murder after police got more time to question them. A third man, 19 and also from the area, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and is still held. Evans’s family called him a “wonderful son, loving brother and doting uncle” with a cricket and fitness streak; Norton-in-Hales Cricket Club said he scored a first-XI century at 16. All three men are presumed innocent.

Merrigum Caravan Park Stabbing Charge
Victoria Police charged a 28-year-old Merrigum man with murder Sunday after a fight at Merrigum Caravan Park on Waverley Avenue, about 30 kilometres west of Shepparton, around 3:10 a.m. Saturday. Multiple callers brought police to two injured, unresponsive men. CPR failed on a 30-year-old Papua New Guinean man identified in reporting as Samuel; he was declared dead at the scene. The 28-year-old was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, discharged, arrested, and charged. He is due at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court Monday. Homicide Squad and the Major Crime Scene Unit worked the park — the same site of a May knife brawl that left another man critically hurt. The accused is presumed innocent.

Pune Fort Murder: Third Arrest
Pune Rural Police arrested Ritesh Hange, 22, Friday night as the third accused in the June 18 killing of realtor Ketan Agarwal, who was pushed from Lohagad Fort. SP Sandeep Singh Gill said Hange, a Beed native working in construction in Pune and a close friend of Chetan Choudhary, “was part of the conspiracy.” A Vadgaon Maval court remanded him to police custody until Sept. 12.
Fiancée Siya Goyal, 20, and Choudhary were already in judicial custody. Police say phone forensics show Hange discussed the cliff plan and earlier talk of breaking Agarwal’s limbs; Chetan contacted him after the killing. Agarwal’s death was first called a slip during a trek photo; his sister’s doubts and family complaints reopened the case. Goyal and Choudhary allegedly pushed him so their own relationship could continue. All three are presumed innocent.

Burton Latimer High Street Body: Three Held
Northamptonshire Police arrested three men — aged 43, 48 and 54 — on suspicion of murder after a man’s body was found at a High Street address in Burton Latimer. Officers answered a concern-for-welfare call Wednesday afternoon. A forensic post-mortem Thursday at Leicester Royal Infirmary turned the case into a murder inquiry run by the East Midlands Special Operations Unit. Police believe the man, in his 50s, died several days before discovery. A woman, 38, and a man, 53, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All five remained in custody Sunday morning. Det Insp Cheryl Thompson called the inquiry “fast-paced” and asked for tips on suspicious activity around High Street. All are presumed innocent.

Worcester Wylds Lane: Jezierski Charged
West Mercia Police charged Pawel Jezierski, 46, of Wylds Lane, Worcester, with murder in the death of Damian Buczek, 42. Officers were called to the same address shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, and found Buczek with serious injuries. He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and later died. Jezierski remains in custody for a first appearance at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, Sept. 7. Neighbours and councillor Jabba Riaz paid tribute. He is presumed innocent.

Albuquerque Stairwell Stabbing Charge
Albuquerque police announced Sunday that Aidan Gregg-Kriegel, 22, was charged with an open count of murder after a 72-year-old man was found stabbed early Saturday at an apartment complex on the 900 block of Louisiana Boulevard SE (950 Louisiana Blvd. SE). Officers were called around 7:20–7:30 a.m. The victim had multiple stab wounds to the neck; a pointed, bloodied chunk of wood lay nearby. Witnesses placed Gregg-Kriegel with the victim and said he was a resident with recent neighbour disputes, including a prior misdemeanor battery charge. He was detained at the scene and booked. The victim’s name had not been released in the Sunday reports. He is presumed innocent.

Bogie Grazier Guilty of Triple Murder
A Townsville Supreme Court jury on Friday convicted Darryl Valroy Young, 63, of three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder in the Aug. 4, 2022, shootings at the gate of his Shannonvale Station at Bogie, north Queensland. Mervyn and Maree Schwarz and her son Graham Tighe were found shot dead; Ross Tighe was shot, fled, and raised the alarm. Prosecutors said Young believed the neighbours were stealing cattle and had demanded the meeting. The jury took about 15 hours over three days for unanimous murder verdicts, then a majority (11) guilty on attempted murder. Young, who denied being at the scene, showed no emotion as the verdicts were read and was remanded for sentencing Monday. Guy Schwarz, speaking for both families: “No verdict or sentence can give us back Merv, Maree and Graham.”

Labrador Murder Fugitive Caught in Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan Marshals Service arrested David Faucher, 30, at a Prince Albert business Friday on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder in the 2023 death of Franz Drosch, 43, of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. RCMP had charged Faucher earlier this year and publicly sought him in June and again Aug. 11, saying he was actively evading police. Arrangements are underway to return him to N.L. RCMP said further details are held to protect the investigation. He is presumed innocent.
